Thirty children from Year 5 worked as guides for the day. They were very brave and received many compliments from visitors. Well done everyone! We are all very proud of you.
Artistic Freedom
Today in a No Outsiders lesson, we read ‘The artist who painted a blue horse’. We created our own versions using cotton buds to create a colourful pattern of dots.
‘Off with her head!’ memorable experience
To start our new topic, we took part in a carousel of activities – Tudor dancing, making Tudor roses and writing Tudor calligraphy.
In February, we will be visiting the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Some children will also experience being guides for the day and will explain the history of one of the locations to visiting members of the public.
Buddhist Trip
Mother Teresa – RE Research
Fiver Project
Last Thursday the children in year 5 created their own businesses. Each child started with just £5 and quite a few groups made a profit. Well done year 5!
